Dental Rescue Days® (DRD) are held in dental practices, providing a great way for the whole team to be involved in the care of referred patients. Practices commit a half or full day to treating a group of patient's pro bono, with ADA Dental Health Foundation state coordinators organising and coordinating the appointment book with the practice for the session.
These days are a great opportunity to triage patients on our waiting lists and to offer acute care where it is most needed for patients referred by local charities and not-for-profit organisations.
Over the course of 2023-24, there were 36 DRDs, held nationally offering 591 appointments.
How to Volunteer
Engaging in Dental Rescue Days presents a fantastic opportunity for your entire practice to contribute to the provision of pro bono dental care for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds. Whether you choose to offer a full or half day, this initiative allows dental practitioners and their staff to extend their skills and compassion to a group of patients within their practice.
The process is simple: patients in need are referred by local charities and not-for-profit organisations, and the day's logistics are expertly organised with the assistance of your dedicated state coordinator.
Your participation can make a significant impact on the lives of those in our community who require essential dental care. For further details and to get involved please fill out and submit the form below, your state coordinator will then contact you.
